I love applying my creativity in meaningful ways, for meaningful causes. Project Grows is a nonprofit with a mission to improve the health of children in Staunton, Waynesboro, and Augusta County, Virginia through garden-based education and access to healthy food. Through Catchafire, I connected with Project Grows and produced their Annual Report - giving it a whimsical vibe to reflect their engaging programming and supports their belief that “kids who have a hand in growing their own vegetables, love to eat them”—an important first step to nurturing a new generation of healthy youth.

In preparation for the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS)—the largest industry trade show in the Western Hemisphere managed by AMT, I partnered with the organization’s internal marketing and design team to fulfill the many creative needs for promoting IMTS as well as supporting programs and events powered by AMT. Assignments varied in scope—from creating graphics for their new event app, websites, and emails—to social and print ads, onsite collateral, exhibitor booth graphics, and outdoor signage.

Having worked on the first refresh in 2012, I was delighted to be the creative lead and collaborate with the editorial team in further evolving this media brand in 2021.

This refresh entailed slight modifications to the logo and PM logomark with new usage guidelines, expanding the color palette, and redesigning the brand’s staple product, Production Machining magazine. PM provides subject matter expertise on CNC precision machining for the manufacturing of parts through turning machine operations performed on lathes, grinders, and turning mills. To emphasize these “turning” operations, I introduced a family of simple dot patterns and other circular devices that are weaved throughout the magazine and other newly designed print and digital communications.

Girls On The Run is a nonprofit dedicated to creating a world where every girl knows her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams. The GOTR 10-week after school program consists of physical, social, and emotional wellness activities for girls in grades 3 through 8—culminating with a celebratory 5K run.

I’m proudly partnering with the Central NJ Council marketing team to streamline and redesign their collateral to be more impactful, in line with GOTR branding, and compelling to potential schools, partners, and sponsors.

Partnered with Gardner Business Media to design the 2022 media guide for MoldMaking Technology. This bold solution filled with an abundance of data visualization conveys the MMT story and highlights the mold making process, audience profile, editorial calendar, content marketing, advertising and sponsorship opportunities, and rates—as well as year-end metrics on traffic, social media followers, and subscribers.

The mission of Trenton Music Makers is to provide music instruction and to support the powerful impact music has on the lives of inner-city children.

In collaboration with the Executive Director, I’ve been designing the organization’s Annual Report since 2019 as well as collateral for their annual spring benefit.

Formerly VolunteerConnect, NonProfitConnect’s work focuses on strengthening Mercer County nonprofits by developing a diverse, skilled, and engaged group of board and executive leaders through ongoing training, educational programs, and resources. I collaborated with members of NPC and their web consultant on website design updates that more accurately reflect their mission, commitment to diversity, and new virtual programming.

Other assignments include designing the organization's Governance, Legal, Fiduciary, and Fundraising presentations, Impact Awards logo as well as the email invitation promoting this annual fundraising event.

The COMMIT Foundation is dedicated to providing the resources that help America’s finest transition and find personal and professional purpose after military service. It was an honor to work with the organization on the design of their 2018 Annual Report.

In collaboration with the founder of the executive recruitment agency, Talent Magnet, I designed a capabilities presentation (print and digital version) that reflects the high caliber of talent the agency places with New York-based companies in the fashion and beauty industry.

Rethink is a biennial event hosted by the experiential marketing agency Impact XM that covers the latest technology trends for the event space. Developed initial concepts and refined the visual identity for this innovation conference and executed across all promotional communications, speaker presentations, and venue signage.

Design lead for the agency’s marketing initiatives to include redesigning the capabilities brochure and presentation/pitch decks, creating branded email communications, and graphics for website and social media posts. Produced concepts and refined graphics for the agency’s trade show installations and ephemera for the shows CES and ExhibitorLive. 

On team to spearhead the creation of a comprehensive system of large format display graphics for Citrix meetings and trade shows, as well as an Event Playbook for marketers to reference to plan and execute cohesively branded Citrix event experiences.

Code42:
Inspired by the concepts for the Code42 trade show booth and their brand identity, I designed the final pitch presentation as well as elements supporting proposed in-booth engagements.

Volvo (shown below):
Designed a series of presentations in response to a Volvo RFP, formatting content, case studies, and incorporating proposed designs for event activations. Additionally, I designed sample screens for a proposed event mobile app, attendee survey, and contest as part of the presentation.

Workday ESource Center:
Design concept for a proposed digital resource center that would be featured in the Workday trade show installation. This engagement would provide attendees access to a repository of company info and resources—while collecting attendee data for post-show reporting and a more informed sales follow-up.

Legrand Building IQ Test:
Design concept for a proposed Legrand Building IQ Test that would be featured in the Legrand trade show installation. After answering a series of questions, the IQ Test would provide attendees with a report rating the ‘smartness’ of their dwellings—homeowners and building managers alike—as well as insight into Legrand customers.

Designed graphics for proposed Entyvio exhibit and concepts for onsite materials to include a handout outlining the attendee journey within the exhibit. The QR codes on the reverse side of the handout—when scanned—would give attendees access to real patient stories describing their journey to wellness with Entyvio.

TechSpex is a comprehensive database-driven website offering research and analysis tools for over 600 machine tool brands. I was part of a small team to work on this brand refresh, developing logo concepts and overall design direction. The final logo is this clean and contemporary wordmark that speaks to today’s serious machine tool buyers. The visual strategy is comprised of detailed b/w machining photography and CAD-like illustrations to convey the sophistication and depth of the product’s search capabilities.

Worked closely with an outside brand consultant and the Creative Director to revitalize the Gardner Business Media corporate brand identity. Involved from concept phase and design refinement to final execution across all internal and external, print and digital communications, website, and trade show booths.

Gardner Business Media published two magazine brands covering the composites industry—High-Performance Composites and Composites Technology. With the cross-over in subscribers and content, they consolidated the brands and rolled out with CompositesWorld (CW), providing industry professionals with one robust source for in-depth information on the composites industry.

In collaboration with the Creative Director, I conceptualized and refined the final logo solution and solidified the brand identity. Shown are cover designs for CompositesWorld magazine and annual SourceBook directory, as well as the new media kit for the sales team.

Additive Manufacturing originated as a 12-page quarterly magazine supplement. Due to the high demand for content on this emerging technology, Gardner Business Media reintroduced AM as an independent magazine brand with a biennial conference.

I worked closely with the publisher and senior editor to develop the brand identity and the design of the magazine—as well as ads, the AM e-newsletter, social media sites, media guide, and trade show display graphics.

Developed the visual strategy for media promoting the Advanced Manufacturing Center (AMC) exhibit at IMTS—one of the largest industrial manufacturing trade shows in the world. The AMC exhibit featured product and technology displays and speaker engagements geared towards educating attendees on the five trends moving manufacturing forward.

Collaborated with marketers and circulation managers, and art directed a team of designers in creating subscription-based direct-mail packages, advertising, email marketing, and popups for a portfolio of special interest trade publications—covering topics ranging from graphic and industrial design, scrapbooking, horticulture, and writing to woodworking, hunting, car and coin collecting.  

These educational conferences provide a forum for leaders in the plastics industry to share new innovations, technical information, and business conditions in injection molding and extrusion.

I developed logo concepts and began shaping the visual identity for both conferences. Shown left are the final conference logos as well as the first print ads to run in industry publications.

The HOW brand not only included an award-winning magazine, but a host of events and competitions serving the business, creativity and technology needs of creative professionals.

I partnered with writers to brainstorm on messaging and themes for HOW’s various conferences and competitions, and developed event logos and the overall look and feel for marketing communications.

Streamlined and redesigned the zoo's membership materials to coincide with the grand reopening of the exhibit, Regenstein African Journey. Deliverables included a membership brochure, benefits packet, and a series of direct mail efforts. Inspired by the actual exhibit installation graphics, I created a visual identity for the campaign promoting the Regenstein African Journey and applied to the PR kit, various invitations, on-grounds signage, and street banners displayed on Michigan Avenue.
