Centennial Street Supper Visual Branding
To celebrate Speedway, Indiana’s incorporation in 1926, the community planned a series of events to mark its 100th anniversary, including a Centennial Street Supper on Main Street. I was commissioned to create the event poster and supporting print and digital promotional materials, developing a visual identity that captured the spirit of the celebration and generated excitement around the milestone occasion. Rooted in the town’s deep connection to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the visual direction needed to honor a legacy shaped by tradition, community, and racing culture. Drawing inspiration from 1920s-era posters and advertising, I developed a collage-driven approach that combined thematic visual cues, a nostalgic color palette, expressive typography, and vintage design techniques to create the warm, distinctive, patriotic character the committee envisioned.
